Students arrive at Dehradun Airport and begin a scenic drive to Jayalgarh. After check in, a detailed program orientation introduces the itinerary, safety protocols and group expectations. Energizer and ice breaking activities help the group bond, followed by an evening session on leadership and teamwork in outdoor environments. Dinner and overnight stay are at Jayalgarh.

After breakfast, the group drives towards Ukhimath, entering the scenic Chopta Valley. On arrival, students check in and rest before a guided village walk through farmlands and mountain hamlets to understand local livelihoods, water sources and traditional architecture. A visit to Omkareshwar Temple, the winter seat of Kedarnath, introduces spiritual traditions of the region. In the evening, a trek briefing session prepares students for the coming days with discussions on safety, weather, teamwork and expectations. Dinner and overnight stay are at Ukhimath.

Students drive to the trek starting point and begin the ascent to Deoriatal Lake, a serene alpine lake reflecting the Chaukhamba peaks. Along the trail, learning modules introduce glacial ecosystems, climate change and Himalayan biodiversity, along with stories from the Mahabharata linked to the region. After spending time at the lake, the group descends to Saari village and returns to Ukhimath. The evening is reserved for storytelling and reflection on adaptability and personal growth.

An early start takes students to Chopta, from where they trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world. Depending on weather and group strength, an optional hike to Chandrashila summit is undertaken. Learning sessions focus on altitude management, hydration, mountain safety and meditation practices. After descending, students return to Ukhimath for dinner and a group reflection session on perseverance and inner strength.

After breakfast, the group drives back to Jayalgarh. Post lunch, students participate in rappelling and rock jumaring activities, learning rope techniques, safety protocols, harness use and trust based movement on rock faces. The evening reflection session titled “What the Journey Taught Me” allows students to share insights, challenges and personal learning. Dinner and overnight stay are at Jayalgarh.
