This experiential learning journey through Bhimtal, Nainital and Jim Corbett National Park is specially designed to introduce students to Himalayan ecology, wildlife conservation and sustainable tourism. Blending classroom concepts with field based learning, the program helps students understand lake ecosystems, forest biodiversity and the importance of protected areas in India. Through guided nature walks, museum visits, expert sessions and a thrilling jungle safari, students develop scientific curiosity, environmental responsibility and a deeper respect for nature and wildlife.

Highlights of the Program

  1. Wildlife Conservation & Forest Ecology
    Learning sessions in Corbett introduce students to predator–prey relationships, tiger conservation and the role of national parks in biodiversity protection.

Day Wise Itinerary

Students arrive in Delhi and begin the scenic drive to Bhimtal, reaching by late afternoon. After check in and some rest, a guided lakeside walk introduces them to the Kumaon region, Himalayan geography and the ecological importance of lake systems. In the evening, an orientation session outlines the learning objectives, behavioural guidelines and expectations from the program. Dinner and overnight stay are in Bhimtal.

After breakfast, students drive to Nainital for a full day of educational exploration. Visits to Naina Devi Temple and the lakeside promenade help students understand lake formation and the cultural significance of hill towns. A walk along Mall Road introduces them to local crafts, tourism patterns and mountain livelihoods. At Eco Cave Park, students learn about natural cave systems, rock formations and wildlife habitats. Optional boating on Naini Lake offers a hands on understanding of freshwater ecosystems. The group returns to Bhimtal by evening for reflection and group discussion.

After breakfast, the group drives to Jim Corbett National Park, India’s first national park. On arrival and lunch, students participate in a nature walk or team building activities focusing on ecology, leadership and group coordination. In the evening, a special session on wildlife conservation, the legacy of Jim Corbett and the importance of tiger reserves is conducted, followed by a documentary screening. Dinner and overnight stay are in Corbett.

The morning is dedicated to bird watching, animal track identification and guided nature interpretation walks led by local experts. Students study the Terai forest ecosystem, biodiversity, food chains and conservation challenges. Visits to the Corbett National Museum and Garjiya Temple add historical and cultural context. In the evening, students proceed for a jungle safari in the Corbett buffer zone, observing wildlife behaviour and learning about responsible tourism. The day concludes with dinner and a group reflection session.

After breakfast, students check out and begin the return journey to Delhi. During the drive, students reflect on their experiences, share observations and consolidate their learning from the Himalayan foothills before reaching Delhi by evening.
