Day Wise Itinerary
Students assemble at the school premises in the evening, meet the trek leaders and receive a short briefing about the journey ahead. The group boards the overnight Volvo coach for Manali, marking the beginning of their Himalayan learning expedition.
On arrival in Manali, students check into the hotel and rest to recover from the overnight journey. In the afternoon, a gentle acclimatization walk and local sightseeing introduce them to Hadimba Temple, Vashisht hot springs and Jogni Waterfall. The evening is reserved for a detailed trek briefing covering safety protocols, equipment checks, fitness expectations and team roles for the coming days.
After breakfast, the group drives to Jobra and begins the first trek through apple orchards and along a scenic river trail. Students reach Chikha campsite by afternoon and participate in setting up tents, organizing equipment and learning campsite discipline under staff supervision. The evening includes group interaction and an introduction to outdoor living routines.
The day’s trek continues through forests, streams and flower filled meadows towards Jwara. Along the way, students practice pacing, hydration management and teamwork. At the campsite, students take responsibility for camp chores and attend an evening reflection session focusing on cooperation, adaptability and shared responsibility.
An early start leads the group on a longer and more challenging trek towards the Hampta trail. Students walk through alpine landscapes with panoramic mountain views, learning to manage fatigue, altitude and changing weather conditions. After spending time on the trail, the group descends back to Jwara by evening for rest and reflection.
The campsite is wound up in the morning and the group descends back to Jobra. Students board the transport and drive back to Manali for a well earned rest at the hotel. The evening is kept free for local market exploration and informal group bonding.
After checking out, students visit Solang Valley and drive through the Atal Tunnel to Sissu village in Lahaul, experiencing the dramatic shift in landscapes. After exploration, the group returns to Manali and boards the overnight coach to Delhi, concluding the expedition with reflection, journaling and shared memories during the return journey.
