Detailed Itinerary
Early morning departure from Dehradun as the journey moves towards the Garhwal Himalayas. The scenic drive follows the Ganga River till Rishikesh and later the Alaknanda River through Devprayag and Rudraprayag. Enjoy changing landscapes of rivers, valleys, and mountain towns along the way. As the altitude increases, the weather becomes cooler and the surroundings more alpine. Reach Auli by evening and check into the lodge. After an orientation and safety briefing, enjoy a short nature walk depending on arrival time. Overnight stay in rooms.
After breakfast, drive to Tugasi Village, passing through Joshimath and the Tapovan region. From Tugasi, begin the trek towards Gulling Base Camp. The trail gradually ascends through dense oak and rhododendron forests, offering occasional mountain views. The trek is short and comfortable, allowing students to adjust to trekking conditions. Reach Gulling by early afternoon and set up the campsite. Post lunch, participate in outdoor learning sessions focusing on basic survival skills such as shelter pitching and first aid awareness. An evening session on Leave No Trace principles promotes responsible trekking. Dinner and overnight stay in alpine tents.
This is the most important trekking day. Start early as the trail climbs towards Khulara and further opens into wide alpine meadows. The gradual ascent rewards trekkers with breathtaking views of snow clad Himalayan peaks. During winter months, trekkers may walk on snow covered trails, adding to the adventure. Depending on weather and trail conditions, the trek leader may choose the best viewpoint near Kuari Pass. Spend time enjoying the panoramic views and learning about the Himalayan landscape before descending back to Gulling Base Camp. Evening reflection session followed by dinner. Overnight stay in tents.
After breakfast, begin the descent trek from Gulling to Tugasi. The downhill walk is relaxed and allows participants to enjoy forest views and reflect on the trek experience. On reaching Tugasi, board the vehicle and begin the drive towards Kirtinagar. En route, enjoy a packed lunch and scenic river views. Reach the riverside campsite or hotel in Kirtinagar by evening. Celebrate the successful completion of the trek with a bonfire and group interaction. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, participate in adventure activities such as rappelling and jumaring under professional supervision. These activities help build confidence, courage, and teamwork. After lunch, begin the return journey to Dehradun. Arrival by evening, marking the end of an enriching Himalayan trekking experience.
