Detailed Itinerary

Early morning departure from Dehradun as the journey moves towards the Garhwal Himalayas. The scenic drive follows the Ganga River through Rishikesh and continues along the Alaknanda River via Devprayag and Rudraprayag. Witness the dramatic confluence of rivers, deep valleys, and charming mountain towns as the altitude gradually increases and the air turns cooler.

By evening, arrive at Auli or Joshimath depending on availability. After check in, enjoy an orientation session and safety briefing. If time permits, take a short acclimatization walk around the property.

After breakfast, drive to Tugasi village, the starting point of the trek. The trail begins through terraced village fields and gradually ascends past traditional Himalayan homes, offering glimpses into local mountain life. As you gain height, the route transitions into dense oak and rhododendron forests. The peaceful surroundings and fresh mountain air set the perfect tone for the days ahead. Today the trail gradually ascends towards Khulara, opening into expansive alpine meadows. With increasing altitude, the views begin to widen, revealing snow covered Himalayan peaks in the distance. During winter and early spring, the route may be covered in snow, adding an exciting dimension to the trek. The campsite at Khulara offers stunning views and a true wilderness experience. Overnight stay in tents.

An early start takes you towards the highlight of the journey, Kuari Pass. The initial climb gradually eases into a steady ascent leading to the pass.

From the top, witness a grand panorama of Himalayan peaks including Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Kamet, Dronagiri and Mana Peak. The crisp mountain air and uninterrupted views make this a truly rewarding experience.

Spend time absorbing the landscape, understanding Himalayan geography, and capturing memorable photographs before descending back to Khulara. Overnight stay in tents.


Descend through the forest trails back to Gulling. After lunch, drive towards Kirtinagar or Maletha for an overnight halt. Evening at leisure.

After an early breakfast amidst the mountains, begin your scenic drive back to Dehradun. As you descend from the Himalayan trails to the plains, carry with you not just photographs, but stories of endurance, camaraderie, and moments of quiet reflection in nature.
