This specially designed Creativity, Activity and Service program in Ladakh offers students a powerful blend of cultural immersion, community service, high altitude learning and personal reflection. Set against the dramatic landscapes of the Himalayas, the journey encourages students to step beyond classrooms and engage directly with sustainable living, local communities, spiritual traditions and innovative education models. Through meaningful interactions, hands on service projects and guided reflection sessions, students develop empathy, leadership, resilience and a deeper understanding of global citizenship.

Day wise itinerary
Upon arrival at Leh airport, students are welcomed by the tour team and transferred to the hotel for check in and rest. After lunch and some time to acclimatize, an easy evening walk is taken towards Shanti Stupa, offering beautiful sunset views and a calm introduction to the region. A stroll through Leh Market provides a first glimpse of local life. In the evening, a detailed program orientation and reflection session introduces students to the goals of the CAS journey, journaling practices and group expectations, followed by dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
This day is dedicated to understanding Ladakh’s spiritual and cultural roots. Students visit Thiksey, Shey and Hemis monasteries, where they observe monastic life and interact with monks to learn about discipline, meditation and community living. After lunch, an Old Town walk and visit to the LAMO Centre introduces students to traditional architecture and heritage conservation. The day concludes with a guided reflection workshop in the evening, encouraging students to share observations and connect experiences to their CAS themes.
Students spend the day in Stok village engaging in meaningful community service activities such as tree plantation and village clean up drives, promoting environmental awareness and teamwork. They interact with local families to understand food preservation, water management and winter survival in Ladakh. Lunch is hosted by local families, where students participate in cooking traditional meals and preparing butter tea. Later, visits to Stok Monastery and Stok Palace introduce them to Ladakhi royal history. The day ends with a local cultural program followed by a reflection session and return to Leh.
After an early breakfast, students embark on an exhilarating drive to Khardung La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, witnessing dramatic Himalayan landscapes and understanding the challenges of life at extreme altitudes. Lunch is taken en route before returning to Leh for visits to Leh Palace and the Hall of Fame museum. In the evening, a reflection session focuses on resilience, teamwork and lessons learned from the high altitude experience, followed by dinner and rest.
A highlight of the program, students visit the SECMOL campus founded by Sonam Wangchuck, where they interact with students and educators and participate in sustainability based activities such as solar cooking, eco construction or organic farming. This visit offers deep insights into alternative education and responsible living. After lunch, students explore local handicraft markets, learning about traditional art, textiles and Ladakhi craftsmanship. The final evening includes a closing reflection session to consolidate learning and personal growth.
After breakfast, students check out from the hotel and are transferred to Leh airport for their onward journey, carrying back meaningful experiences, new perspectives and lasting memories from their CAS expedition in Ladakh.
